Due to the month of GHOST, where chinese believe that the gate from another world will open and allow "souls" to come in to this world and have a "holiday" for a long month.
Some people from another religion or culture will find it funny to accept, but this is the story, and some friends of mine told me that they actually saw this "souls" roaming around our streets before. It was donkey years ago actually. Dunno if he bull shit us, but hey, i bet you dont wanna say seeing is believing for such occasion, do you?
Try to reduce my late nights and have a decent life for a month. Trying now... stop bitching. I can see your month mumbling.
So, the point is, since this tradition has been going like...i dunno, as long as i am around, try not to disrespect the little prayers, the burnings of joss sticks, hell money and the food that prayed. I remember once someone told me that a bugger go and kicked the chicken at the road side and end up the monk needed to perform Exorcism on that guy. Apparently, the monk said when that fellow kicked the food on the roadside, some homeless souls were actually eating it. Wa lao.... scary.
No joke. I seen before what was like a person being possess by errr...... ghost? Gentle reminder hor.
