World Toilet Day!

While listening to the radio as routine, on the way to work.

Do you people know what day is today? Asked the Flying Dutchman to Glenn Ong, both are Class 95 DJ in Singapore.

Once they mentioned today’s special day, I am so determine of whether it’s true or false kind of feeling, or rather, there’s no such day! So I googled for the truth.

Wow, I am surprised

Today is World Toilet Day!

It's my Big day! Bite ya!

*Pengsan!

Well, the history backdate to 19th November 2001 was declared 'World Toilet Day’ by 17 toilet associations around the world. Since then there has been established an annual World Toilet Summit and many other regional conferences. Each toilet association has also engaged in many activities promoting clean toilets in their own respective country.

Another story said it was founded in Singapore by Mr. Jack Sim. Thus, which of these versions is true? I really don’t know.

Jack, I wonder if you guys got forum talks on toilet seats?

The World Toilet Organization has the following objectives:

1) Establish a world body to coordinate and promote sanitation issues.
2) To continuously generate awareness for the importance of a good toilet environment.
3) To gather resources and promote creative development in the Research & Development, Usage & Attitudes and Aesthetics & Functionalities in Design for the betterment of health in general.
4) To propagate the need for better toilet standards in both the developed and developing economies of the world.
5) To provide and promote a community of all toilet associations, related organizations and committed individuals to facilitate an exchange of ideas, health and cultural matters.
6) To collate, publish and disseminate information globally in a timely and viable manner globally.

For my opinion, I think it’s a good to give toilet some respect. No doubt, we piss and shit on them every other day. Sometime misses. So, a little awareness for the people is fair enough to make the toilets cleaner for today.

They even got webbie for World Toilet Organisation. (www.worldtoilet.org)

Since it’s so grand, the only thing is that I hope this day can official be a public holiday. Will it be?
